Canucks' Owner Fires Anthem Singer Who Committed to Anti-Mask Rally
Vancouver Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini was not messing around on Friday as he appeared to fire long-time anthem singer Mark Donnelly. The news broke after the owner sent out this tweet once he found out the news that Donnelly was slated to sing at an anti-masker rally.
Hey @VancouverSun change the headline to "Former Canucks anthem singer." #wearamask https://t.co/UZX5agK4pl

The Vancouver Canucks are trying to get ahead of the story as their COO Trent Carroll also sent out a statement regarding Donnelly's intentions:
Mark Donnelly is acting independently and we hope the public understands he is not representing the Vancouver Canucks. We encourage everyone to wear a mask and to follow the provincial health orders.Donnelly and his fellow anti-maskers are set to attend the British Columbia Christmas Freedom Rally 2020 which is set to take place on Saturday in Vancouver where those involved are protesting the Covid-19 restrictions imposed for the holiday season.
Never forget.
