Deryk Engelland Retires and His Old Teammates Send Some Love
Vegas Golden Knight defenseman, Deryk Engelland has decided to retire from the NHL after 11 seasons in the league. The home-town kid turned into the golden child in Vegas and made a massive impact not only on the ice, in the dressing room, but also in the community.
Engelland spent his 11 seasons between the Pittsburgh Penguins, Calgary Flames, and lastly spending three years with the expansion Golden Knights. The 38-year-old played a total of 671 games, collecting 127 points and 579 penalty minutes.
Engelland was beloved by his teammates and several of them reached out to send their love.
