Golden Knights Owner Comments on Potential Max Pacioretty Trade
Earlier this week it was reported by TSN's Frank Seravalli, the Vegas Golden Knights were in discussions to make a trade and Max Pacioretty's name was involved. And while some other media members didn't think that was the case at all, Seravalli believed in his sources.
Turns out...not the case at all, according to team owner, Bill Foley.
One problem, Greg: my report wasn’t about Pacioretty’s NTC, or the difficulty of a deal, and it didn’t include any destinations.

Have the Golden Knights been trying to trade Max Pacioretty? The answer to that is yes. That’s the report. That’s it.
Foley spoke with a local news team in the Vegas area and had this to say about Seravalli's report:
We're not shopping Patches. We do have cap issues, and so some of those things have to be resolved as we go forward, we started getting into the season. But he definitely is not being shopped.
There was also a report that Jonathan Marchessault and Marc-Andre Fleury were being discussed in trades, and Foley never made mention of these reports, so perhaps those are true.
Vegas is in desperate need to clear some cap space before the season begins, so expect a move or two from the Golden Knights.
