Huge Update on Potential All-Canadian Division for 2020-21 NHL Season
The NHL has reached a hurdle and it could drastically change the set up for the upcoming 2020-21 season. According to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, the provincial health agencies across Canada have yet to sign off on the NHL's plan to have all Canadian hockey teams travel strictly across Canada this upcoming season.
Sources: The NHL could move games involving Canadian teams to the United States in 2021 if its unable to reach agreement with provincial health authorities.https://t.co/bcdciuQBZs

Johnston cites how the Toronto Raptors are currently playing their home games in Tampa Bay, Florida and the Toronto Blue Jays played all their home games out of Buffalo. Health Canada has been a tough sell on sports and rightfully so. The Playoff Bubbles worked for the NHL, and there's still a small chance the NHL adapts bubbles for next season.
One thing we do know, it's likely a 56-game season beginning late January. What we don't know is where the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, or Vancouver Canucks will be playing their home games.
All seven Canadian teams were informed of this possibility of playing in the United States during a conference call today with the league #Sens #Jets #Oilers #Flames #Canucks #Leafs #Habs
