Mark Letestu Retires from the NHL After 12 Seasons
After 12 NHL seasons Mark Letestu has decided to hang up his skates. The gritty winger revealed the news to The Athletic's Aaron Portzline.
The 35-year-old Alberta native appeared in seven games last season with the Winnipeg Jets, and also played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers and made his debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins back in 2009-10.
While never being the flashiest player, Letestu was a solid depth option for a teams' third-line and appeared in 567 career games, collecting 210 points. Not a bad career for someone who was never drafted. Letestu earned over $10 million dollars in his career, and will be known as the type of teammate every team needs.

Happy retirement to a great former Blue Jackets player, Mark Letestu! One of my favorite moments of his: the confident nodding after he netted a shootout winner. #CBJ #LeBESTu pic.twitter.com/4p8pjcayNa
