The 28-year-old Granlund was fielding offers from the likes of the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets and in the end decided to head back to Nashville where last season he scored 17 goals and finished with 30 points.
Granlund who was once a 9th overall pick of the Minnesota Wild should slot into the Predators 3rd-line center spot, and will see some some time on the wing in their top-six and second power-play unit.
