Ottawa and Nashville Complete a Trade
The NHL will be a much busier place as we approach Christmas now that the league has announced its plan to restart and executives know the timelines of the return. Amongst the moves today, the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators completed a trade that sent forward Zach Magwood to the Senators and Michael Carcone to the Predators.

Magwood, 22, looks to battle it out at training camp with the Senators and find himself in contention for a spot on their taxi squad. Last season he finished the campaign with 47 points in 51 games for the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Magwood managed to collect two points in the four games he appeared in the AHL as well, for the Milwaukee Admirals.
As for Carcone, he heads to Nashville after landing in Ottawa via trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 2019. The Ajax, Ontario native is 24 and still looking to make a name for himself. Last season he collected 27 points in 59 games in the AHL for the Belleville Senators.
A minor deal, surely, but expect both teams to continue to be busy as they tinker with their rosters heading into training camp next week.
