Ottawa Senators Sign Top Prospect to Three-Year Deal
The Ottawa Senators are getting a glimpse at their future with the World Junior Hockey Championships ongoing in Edmonton. The team must be liking what they see from the number three overall pick from the 2020 draft, as the team has signed Tim Stuetzle to a three-year entry level deal.
The Sens have been busy lately, trading for Derek Stepan from the Arizona Coyotes, and adding Stuetzle to their mix gives the team some wildcards up front.
The German sensation will likely start his career in Ottawa on the wing, as the team is loaded with Colin White, Chris Tierney, Stepan and Artem Anisimov. Stuetzle won't care where he plays in the lineup and will just be happy to be in the NHL.
As for the Senators, they can't wait to get him in their mix:
Tim possesses an exceptional blend of both speed and skill and a playmaking ability that our fans are going to enjoy watching for several years to come. He's a dynamic forward who we expect to become a key piece of our roster as we continue trending toward icing an eventual elite-level team.
