Patrice Bergeron Expected to be Named Captain of the Boston Bruins
News dropped on Wednesday that Boston Bruins' captain Zdeno Chara was leaving the team to sign with the Washington Capitals and the Bruins are now left without a captain for next season.
Insert Patrice Bergeron, who is more than qualified for the job. He may actually be the most qualified non-captain in NHL history.
Call me crazy, but I think Patrice Bergeron *just* might be qualified to be Boston's next captain. pic.twitter.com/ZoxNflMuZr

While there's been no reports surfacing as of yet from the team or any of hockey's heavy-hitting insiders, this is what certainly feels like the Bruins next move before opening night in a couple of weeks.
The 35-year-old Bergeron has two years left on his contract so there's certainly a chance the Bruins may have to look for another new captain in a few years. Charlie McAvoy may be in line when that time comes, but for now, expect Patrice Bergeron to wear the 'C' next season in Boston.

From Patrice Bergeron: 'For the past 14 years, Zee has been a teammate, friend, mentor and brother. We have experienced so much together and it has been an absolute honor to compete along side himall those years. I will miss him a teammate but we are bound together forever
