Berdin is considered the Jets' top goalie prospect and is in line to push Laurent Brossoit for the back up duties behind Vezina award winner, Connor Hellebuyck.
The 22-year-old Berdin played last season in the KHL and was lights out posting a goals against average of 2.50 and .912 save percentage. He was originally drafted in the 6th-round back in 2016.
The contract for Berdin is a two-way deal next season, and a one-way the year after, so if he's sent down to the AHL don't be surprised.
Don't forget, not only can Berdin keep the puck out of his own net, he chips in from time to time....
