27 Players Test Positive For Covid-19 During NHL Training Camps
The NHL did not experience a single positive Covid-19 case during the resumption of the 2020 playoffs. This great accomplishment is due to the bubble environment in which the playoffs were held. Now that the league is no longer operating in a bubble, teams and players are beginning to be impacted by Covid-19.
There were a number of players held out of practice from multiple teams. Additionally, the Vancouver Canucks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Dallas Stars closed their training facilities due to the spread of Covid-19 within their locker room. It has been reported that 27 NHL players have tested positive for Covid-19 during training camps. Of those 27 cases, an overwhelming 17 of them came from the Dallas Stars' locker room.
