Alexis Lafrenière FINALLY Scores 1st NHL Goal

Alexis Lafrenière struggled in his first six games as he was a -3 and failed to register a point. In last night's matchup against the Buffalo Sabres, Lafrenière finally netted his first NHL goal. It was a beautiful goal that came at a clutch moment.

Lafrenière was in a situation he was not accustom to; he wasn't putting pucks in the net. He finally got the monkey off of his back and buried the OT winner behind Linus Ullmark.
It's pretty crazy. Overtime, game-winning goal, it was really special. I'll never forget this moment, for sure.

Head Coach David Quinn has been impressed with Lafrenière and stated that he is mentally tough for overcoming adversity. Especially in a game where he had two phenomenal scoring opportunities before netting the game-winner.

He shakes it off, is not bothered by it. I don't care if he's the first pick or the 271st pick, he's a kid you want to be around. For him to get his first goal in that moment, under that situation, under those circumstances, I couldn't be happier for him.
