Anaheim Ducks Secure Some Goaltending Depth
The Anaheim Ducks have announced they have signed goaltender Anthony Stolarz for two more seasons, as the 26-year-old landed himself some job security. The deal runs through the 2022-23 season and is worth $950,000 per season.
Not only was this a fair deal for the Ducks, it was smart business. The contract now covers their goaltending worries for the Seattle Kraken's expansion draft and the team can protect starter, John Gibson.

Stolarz has appeared in 26 regular season games so far over the course of three seasons with three different teams. His lone appearance for the Ducks was tremendous. Stolarz padded his stats and finished last season with a 2.04 goals against average and a .944 save percentage. The former second-round pick will start the year on the Ducks taxi-squad and won't likely see any action unless Gibson or Ryan Miller go down with an injury.
