Big Blow Dealt To The Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks are in Edmonton to take on the Oilers for their opening game of the 2020-21 NHL season. Unfortunately for the Canucks they won't be starting their season with everyone in the lineup.
General manager Jim Benning announced both forward J.T Miller and defenseman Jordie Benn are still in Vancouver, away from the team and won't be available for action. There's been no timetable set for their returns and the Canucks are certainly going to miss each of them in their lineup.
Miller was everything as advertised last season, recording 72 points in 69 games in his first season in Van-City. His 18 points in 17 playoff games was also impressive and this season the team is expecting Miller to do it all over again.
For Benn, he provides physicality to their defense and plays more of a depth role, however, the team needs his presence as much as any.
Benning mentioned the team will have more information to share on their players later this week so expect some news to drop as early as Wednesday afternoon.
