In 53 career games since being drafted in the first round of the 2014 draft, the 24-year-old Ho-Sang has recorded seven goals and 17 assists. There's been a ton of questions surrounding his character, personality, but there's also been a spotlight on how Lou Lamoriello has handled this situation.
Josh Ho-Sang is headed to Orebro of the Swedish League on a loan from the #Isles, sources confirmed. Will play the remainder of the 2020-21 season there. Robin Salo, another #Isles draft pick, plays there as well.

Ho-Sang's agent had this to say when it was determined he would not be getting a crack to make the big club with the Islanders:
It did surprise us. Josh has worked really hard over the past year and a half or so to grow as a person and a hockey player. He’s gone through a lot. We were excited to show that growth. As for the future, whenever and wherever the opportunity comes, Josh is ready. I am confident that when it comes, he will make the most of it.
While this situation doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon, if Ho-Sang puts up big numbers and shows the development the team is looking for, it's going to be hard to keep him out of the NHL much longer.
Lou Lamoriello unfortunately for Ho-Sang, holds all those cards at the moment.
