#CBJ coach John Tortorella says Pierre-Luc Dubois’ desire for a trade will be handled similarly, in one respect, to how Bobrovsky / Panarin played out two seasons ago. They’ll confront it as a group and deal with it out in the open, he said.

Dubois' demands came at quite the surprise to the team and to media alike. The 22-year-old is coming off a solid season where he finished with 49 points in 70 games, his third year in the league. It was in the playoffs where Dubois took the next step, showcasing his two-way game and recording 10 points in 10 games for the Blue Jackets.
While his trade demands are certainly out in the open, the reason behind it are private. Coach Tortorella is likely one of the many reasons he wants out.
Dubois on reports of desire to play elsewhere: “our goal was to get a contract before camp. The team, my agent, and myself have held private talks and they’ll remain private.” #CBJ
