Boston Bruins Name Patrice Bergeron Team Captain
Zdeno Chara served as the captain of the Boston Bruins from 2006 until his recent departure from the team. The Bruins have now named Patrice Bergeron as the team's 20th captain in team history.
There are absolutely no surprises here as stated by NHLTR last week, Patrice Bergeron Expected To Be Named Captain Of Boston Bruins. Bergeron is 35 years old, but he is still playing at an elite level. He has won a Stanley Cup with this organization and has played in the Stanley Cup Finals on three occasions. Bergeron was considered the greatest player and leader in the league to not wear a "C", but that will not be the case this season. Some players need to adapt on and off the ice after this designation, but should expect nothing different of Bergeron's natural leadership.
Integrity. Humility. Resiliency.
