Montreal Canadiens Expected To Call Up Corey Perry
The Montreal Canadiens have listed Paul Byron as day-to-day after taking a Shea Weber clapper to the foot. Additionally, Joel Armia has been diagnosed with a concussion after being on the receiving end of a disgusting hit. The Canadiens need to fill in these gaps if they want to stay hot.
Corey Perry appears to be the best call up option for the Canadiens. Some feel that Ryan Poehling should be given the opportunity to get more NHL games under his belt, but Perry is the perfect fit for this role. Perry is no longer the spunky young gun he once was, but he showed in the 2020 playoffs that he has tons of gas left in the tank. He has relied on his gritty style of play to maintain an NHL caliber performance. He began trending on twitter after the announcement of Byron and Amria's injuries. Where there's smoke there's fire.
OUCH
