Strome who was originally a third overall selection of the Arizona Coyotes, has found his stride with the Blackhawks. Last season in 58 games Strome put up 38 points and the season before the 23-year-old put up 51 points in 58 games. The Blackhawks feel Strome is a huge part of their future and will be part of their core once Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane depart.
Dylan Strome, signed 2x$3M by CHI, is an all-offence playmaking middle-six centre. He's an excellent passer whose shot isn't too bad either - but that doesn't translate to strong defensive play to say the least. #Blackhawks pic.twitter.com/PUtWNFNN8w

The Mississauga, ON native will need to work on his 200-foot game if he wants to become elite but his offensive game is natural and his hockey IQ is off the charts.
By only signing a two-year extension, Strome remains a restricted free-agent once his contract expires.
