Florida Receiving Trade Offers For Aleksander Barkov
In some surprising news out of the Sunshine State, according to TSN's Frank Seravalli via Insider Trading, the Florida Panthers have been receiving trade calls on their captain, Aleksander Barkov for several weeks now.
The consensus around the league is that Barkov won't re-sign with the Panthers when his contract expires after next season and some teams are trying to get a jump on his talents. To this point, Panthers management has made it clear they have no intensions of trading their star, but if you poke the bear enough times, you just never know.

The Panthers also have the Keith Yandle situation to deal with, as the team has decided to not play their best offensive defenseman and have turned their defense over to a younger crowd. Yandle has not yet been asked to waive his no-trade clause but that soon could be coming down the pipe.
As for Barkov, it's unlikely he gets traded this season as Florida is trying to win games this season, but if there isn't a contract extension in place during next season, you can bet your last dime he gets moved before the deadline.
