John Tortorella Is Destroying Pierre-Luc Dubois' Trade Value
The Pierre-Luc Dubois fiasco continues in Columbus. There are a number of teams who are reportedly showing interest, but nothing has been finalized. In the meantime, John Tortorella is causing Dubois' trade stock to plummet harder than the market crash of 2008.
The return for a 22 year old centerman and recent 3rd overall draft pick should be enormously high. In fact, the trade rumors involving Dubois have included a fairly decent return. However, Tortorella keeps sitting him and isn't giving him an opportunity to perform for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Is he wrong for this? Maybe, maybe not. Is Tortorella forcing the hand of General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen?
Many suspect this uninspired puck battle is the reason Tortorella continued to bench Dubois

I mean, as a general rule you don't want to give Liam Foudy 3x more ice time than Pierre-Luc Dubois, but I haven't won the Jack Adams once let alone twice. pic.twitter.com/gHQtmF4cvR

#CBJ Pierre-Luc Dubois has not appeared on the first or second power play units. Boone Jenner appears to be taking his spot.
