Justin Holl Describes What Blocking Shea Weber's Clapper Is Like
The Toronto Maple Leafs have great depth on their blueline this season. It was difficult to crack the roster, but Justin Holl was recognized for his willingness to block shots and make big hits. He describes what it's like to block a slap shot from Montreal Canadiens' Shea Weber, who previously held the NHL record for the hardest slap shot.
Justin Holl blocked a total of 83 shots in 68 games last season. He ranked second on the team behind Jake Muzzin in shots blocked. Teammate Mitch Marner recognized the sacrifices Holl makes for the team and stated that he has blocked Ovechkin's shots in the past and there isn't anything he won't do for the boys. He recently took a rocket to the hamstring from Shea Weber and stated that "it could have been worse."
Marner on Justin Holl: "He's not afraid to block anyone's shot. Last year, he ate a couple of Weber's, he ate a couple of Ovechkin's, so he's willing to do the right things for our team."
