Matthew Tkachuk Reacts To Accusations He Attempted To Injure Jack Campbell
Matt Tkachuk is a fan favorite in Calgary and he's public enemy number one in every other city. The Toronto Maple Leafs are just getting acquainted with the Calgary Flames, and tensions are on a continuous rise.
Tkachuk's latest antics don't necessarily cross the line, but he's showing how close to the line he's willing to get. There was a puck battle in front of Leafs goaltender Jack Campbell with players battling for position around the crease. Tkachuk made it seem as if he was off balance because of the a Leaf defender, and he casually fell onto Campbell's back. Campbell was shaken up on the play, and Tkachuk probably thought he got away with it in the moment. There will surely be retribution to pay. Tkachuk has now discussed the accusations that he intended to injure Jack Campbell during the play.
