Mike Hoffman Signs One-Year Deal in St Louis
As expected, the St Louis Blues have signed sniper Mike Hoffman to a one-year deal, worth $4 million. The Blues brought in Hoffman on a professional tryout, which wasn't fooling anyone. They did so for cap purposes as they awaited clearance to move some players through waivers and onto LTIR.

Hoffman was one of the best free agents on the market who for some reason couldn't find himself a contract until now. The 31-year-old Hoffman scored 29 goals last season with the Panthers, 36 the season before and 22 back in 2018. For him not to receive a multi-year offer was shocking to everyone including Hoffman himself.
Now he joins the Blues who lost Alex Steen to retirement and Hoffman's going to be leaned on to produce from his familiar spot on the left wing. With top-six minutes and a big role on the power play, Hoffman should be on your fantasy team's radar.

Hoffman is one of the league's best shooters and his PP impact is excellent. He's also a major drag in quality shot share and turns the puck over regularly. He's going to score his goals and wind up benched by Berube too. pic.twitter.com/2OFsrdopO8
