Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche Complete Trade Deal
The Minnesota Wild have completed a trade deal with the Colorado Avalanche. The players exchanged leave many question marks as their style of play are relatively similar.
The Minnesota Wild have acquired defencemen Ian Cole in exchange for Greg Pateryn. Cole offers veteran leadership and a hard nosed game to the Wild dressing room. Pateryn, who was fined by the NHL this morning for cross-checking, is also hard nose player who can play a solid defensive game. They are ages 31 and 30, respectively. They are both pending UFA's, Cole with an AAV of $4.25 million and Pateryn with an AAV of $2.25 million. Colorado has retained a sum of Cole's salary.
They will both avoid having to quarantine because Cole will take the Avalanche's bus to Anaheim, drop him off and take Pateryn back to Los Angeles. Win-win.
This is fascinating and hilarious

Sources say since the #avs are in LA, Ian Cole will take the Avs' bus to Anaheim, drop him off and take Pateryn back to LA. This way they both avoid quarantine#mnwild https://t.co/vEA1DBxEcd
