Ottawa and Carolina Complete One-For-One Trade
The Ottawa Senators and the Carolina Hurricanes have completed a trade, albeit it's certainly not a blockbuster. The deal is a one for one swap that sees defenseman Maxime Lajoie head to the Hurricanes and center Clark Bishop on his way to Ottawa.
The Hurricanes are receiving a 23-year-old LD in Lajoie who was originally drafted in the 5th round of the 2016 entry draft. Last season he managed to appear in six games for the Senators, recording no points. In 48 AHL games he collected 13 points and has been playing pro hockey for three seasons since graduating from the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL.
Oh man I'm ecstatic to see the Canes acquire Max Lajoie from the Sens. Clark Bishop was at the end of the road here.

I'm a fan of Lajoie. Liked him in Ottawa, just got buried behind a superb group of young D. Fluid skater, good instincts. Defending needs a little work, but ππ
As for Bishop, the Senators are receiving a 24-year-old pivot who had one assist in five games last season for the Hurricanes. His AHL season included 19 points in 53 games and it was obvious he was running out his welcome with the team how drafted him in the fifth round back in 2014.
While it's not a headline deal, but boy does it feel good to report on a trade!

After Florida claimed Gustav Forsling on waivers, this move helps to reinforce the organization's depth on D.https://t.co/8y9iTxQpLk
