Pierre-Luc Dubois' Agent Calls Out John Tortorella
The classic case of keep my client's name out of your mouth here. The Winnipeg Jets' Pierre-Luc Dubois will soon make his debut with his new team, however it's his old team that keeps talking about him and his agent is sick of it.
Columbus Blue Jackets' head coach, John Tortorella was pretty pissed off when he first heard the news Dubois wanted out and it was obvious he was going to come at this thing head on from the first day of training camp. With the trade finally happening, you would think the Blue Jackets would have other things to worry about or other players to talk about, but they keep circling back on Dubois' reasons for leaving.
Dubois' agent, Pat Brisson is sick of hearing about it:
From Day 1 of camp, John Tortorella wanted to expose Pierre-Luc Dubois. This included going on (the) radio the second week, which made it more difficult for (general manager Jarmo Kekalainen) to do his job. Now, he continues to use different media platforms trying to justify his position.
I have not heard Paul Maurice once say anything about a trade request from both (Patrik) Laine and (Jack) Roslovic. This could've been Operation Submarine, but ah well, Torts wasn't able to help himself.
Torts has been busy doing interviews, calling Dubois soft, and making it known he's got no clue why he wanted out. Anyways, let's hope Columbus can move on, we all would appreciate that.
