Pierre-Luc Dubois Trade Around the Corner
The #duboiswatch is on as Pierre-Luc Dubois will be traded out of Columbus sooner than later. TSN's Pierre LeBrun made mention on Friday, teams have started to circle back and it's expected some firm offers will be heading Columbus' way this weekend.
We asked one NHL executive about the situation in Columbus as Dubois was benched on Thursday night after his head coach, John Tortorella didn't like his compete level:
It's starting to become a distraction for the team, and it's very awkward for some in the dressing room. I'd expect a deal gets done here in the next couple of days.
That's music to our ears as we have brought you each and every report over the course of the past month or so, ever since Dubois and Tortorella came public with the trade request .
Expect the Blue Jackets to go one of two ways with any trade. This could be a one-for-one swap where another young big name comes back the other way, or the team could look to more of a 'futures' package and accept an up-and-coming forward, top-4 defenseman and a first round pick.
Either way it's going to be interesting as the end is near for Dubois in Columbus after this type of effort will not accepted by his head coach.

Torts is asked if Pierre-Luc Dubois will be in the #CBJ lineup tomorrow and does not commit either way. Says not playing PLD over the last 44 minutes last night was a reaction to the center's play over the first five games. #CBJ
