Quebec Is Getting An ECHL Expansion Team
There has been great concern whether minor league clubs in North America will be able to survive the financial stress caused by Covid-19. Despite this narrative, the ECHL is adding two new franchises for the 2021-22 season. Hockey in Quebec is never a bad thing.
It was announced in September 2020 that the ECHL will be welcoming a new franchise in Coralville, Iowa. Today it has been announced that a second ECHL expansion team will play in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec for the 2021-22 season.
