Rumor: Ducks Offering Huge Package for Pierre-Luc Dubois
The Anaheim Ducks are listed as one of the finalist to trade for Columbus Blue Jackets disgruntled #1 center, Pierre-Luc Dubois, this according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN.
Meanwhile, hearing the Anaheim Ducks are still trying on Dubois as well. They’ve been on it from the beginning.

And while they may have been in talks with the Jackets for months now, they are looking long-term with this move and see Dubois as the perfect 22-year-old center to be passed the torch from Ducks captain, Ryan Getzlaf.
With Corey Perry still on the books this year at over $6 million, the Ducks currently have no cap space, meanwhile the Jackets have roughly $1.8 million to work with on top of Dubois' $5 million cap hit.
We asked one NHL executive what the Ducks are likely willing to give up and their offer may be hard to resist:
It's likely the package is centered around defenseman, Hampus Lindholm or forward Rickard Rackell. The Ducks will do whatever they can to keep top prospect Trevor Zegras. Recent first-rounder Jamie Drysdale will likely be involved, along with one of young forwards Max Jones, Maxime Comtois or Sam Steel. Money is a factor here so this could turn into a 4-for-2 type of deal. Add in at least one first rounder and the package will be huge.
Stay close by on Saturday, sounds like it will be Dubois' last day as a Blue Jacket and going to California instead to play hockey, not the worst.
