Rumor: Laine to Hurricanes

 

Another day, another Patrik Laine rumor.... much like Taylor Hall last season NHL insiders have linked Laine to what seems like every NHL team. The latest rumor has the big Finn heading east to Carolina.

TSN's Frank Seravalli recently laid out a bold prediction that Laine would be dealt during this season. Seravalli believes that if Winnipeg can't get a deal done with the Blue Jackets for Pierre-Luc Dubois, then the Carolina Hurricanes will be Laine's new home. The Jets are said to be interested in defenseman Brett Pesce and forward Vincent Trocheck. The price for an elite goal scorer like Laine will be steep, which team will pay the ransom for the sniper?
