The Seattle Kraken Hire Another Assistant General Manager
The Seattle Kraken are preparing for the expansion draft at the end of the upcoming season. They have revealed their team name and logo along with many executives. The most recent announcement is the hiring of their Assistant General Manager.
Ron Francis was named General Manager of the Kraken back in 2019. The Kraken are surely scouting the NHL for potential talent in the upcoming draft. They have now hired another assistant general manager, Jason Botterill.
Botterill is a former NHL'er and previously served as the GM of the Buffalo Sabres. He will work alongside Ricky Olczyk as they will each serve the team in the assistant general manager role. One of the remaining positions to be filled is the head coach. You've got to wonder if Botterill's Buffalo connection may play a role during the hiring process.
We're excited to welcome Jason Botterill as an Assistant General Manager and Norm Maciver as Director of Player Personnel.
