The Senators Make Surprising Roster Move
The Ottawa Senators are gearing up for their season opener on Friday night as the team starts with a Battle of Ontario against the Toronto Maple Leafs. While the Senators have made a ton of moves this offseason and their lineup will look vastly different than the last time these two teams met, the biggest surprise is coming from someone who won't be there.
The Senators have announced Colin White will be a healthy scratch.

"The 4 centres in front of him had very good camps."

On White, he says the other four centres had better camps but, “I know it’s a big story today, but Colin is going to help us win hockey games and be a part of this going forward.”

The 23-year-old White was a first-round pick from the 2015 draft, he's signed for $4.75 million per season for the next five years. The team is certainly not giving up on him with a one game absence, but this is certainly cause for concern.
Last season White recorded 23 points in 61 games.
First Keith Yandle and now Colin White, perhaps someone needs to look into a Sandbagger Curse via the fellas at Spittin Chiclets.
