Toronto Maple Leafs Lose Another Player Due To Injury
The Toronto Maple Leafs have had an "okay" start to their season. They have had moments where they look great and moments where they look unorganized and uninspired. They have lost Nick Robertson and now they've lost another impact player due to injury.
"Jumbo" Joe Thornton left the game early in the third period this evening against the Edmonton Oilers. Josh Archibald finished his check on Thornton along the boards. It was a a light hit, but it appears that Thornton jammed his wrist during the play. Coach Sheldon Keefe said it definitely looks like Thornton will miss some time.
Sheldon Keefe on Joe Thornton: "It looks like he's definitely going to miss some time."
