TSN's Gord Miller Claims Team Russia Was Never Great
TSN commentator Gord Miller dropped a bomb on the hockey community while announcing the Bronze Medal Game between Team Russia and Team Finland. Some will fiercely disagree with his statement, but there is certainly merit to his argument.
Gord Miller has claimed that The Soviet ice hockey program was never a hockey superpower. Despite their numerous Olympic Gold Medals and Canada Cup victories, Miller points out that Canada never sent their best players to international tournaments until the Summit Series of 1972. Of ten major tournaments, the Russians were only victorious against the world's best in 1981.
Gord Miller is dropping BOMBS on Russian hockey 🤣 “They were never really the best” Mentioning that ‘81 was there only real best on best win.
