Tyler Myers Gets Match Penalty For Disgusting Hit On Joel Armia
The Montreal Canadiens absolutely steamrolled the Vancouver Canucks in a 7-3 victory. In the final minutes of the third period, Tyler Myers of the Vancouver Canucks destroyed Joel Armia of the Montreal Canadiens with a dirty hit to the head.
There's no doubt the NHL Department Of Player Safety will be calling Myers tomorrow. Some say head contact is inevitable for a player who is 6'7", however, he crouched down and made the hit in an upward direction. Armia left the ice on his own accord, but he has been diagnosed with a concussion. His expected return date remains unknown. Myers has been suspended twice in the past in 2012 and 2014 for boarding and checking to the head. It's been 7 years since his last suspension, but the league may take this into consideration when deciding his inevitable suspension.

Got a feeling Tyler Myers will not be playing Saturday.

Myers will be hearing from the league about that one. Fortunately #Canucks are flush with excess D these days...

Correction: Tyler Myers has been suspended twice, in 2012 and 2014, for boarding and an illegal check to the head. Three games each time. My opinion stands that he should get three games
