Update on the Keith Yandle Situation in Florida
The past couple of weeks we have been tracking Keith Yandle's 866 game iron-man streak and after the offensive-defenseman was moved to the Florida Panthers taxi-squad, there was a huge uproar. Turns out even though he's hardly practiced with the 'A' group of the Panthers this week, Yandle is going to play in the season opener after all!
Keith Yandle expected to be in #FlaPanthers lineup for season debut tonight.

This is great news for the Panthers and of course for Yandle who is closing in on the all-time record for consecutive games played.
It was crazy to think the Panthers would even consider sitting Yandle who was their best defenseman last season. He recorded 45 points in 69 games and is expected to keep producing this season. He has three years left on his contract and is being paid $6.35 million per season.
While Yandle makes his way into the Panthers lineup for game one, there's certainly a chance he will be moved before this season is over. The Cats have already talked to the Islanders about a trade and there's going to be a spotlight on Yandle now for this entire season. Will he move his no-movement clause?
Who knows, lets just hope he stays in the lineup.
