Video: Canadiens' Ben Chariot Drops Flames' Matthew Tkachuk

Frustration boiled over as the Montreal Canadiens were laying a beat down on the Calgary Flames Thursday night. And of course, Flames super-pest Matthew Tkachuk was dead smack in the middle of it, but from all accounts he's probably wishing he wasn't.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman, Ben Chariot and Tkachuk were battling in front of the net as the Habs were up 4-0 in the third period Thursday, and after about 10 cross-checks, they were bound to drop the mitts.

Chariot isn't afraid of these kinds of things and we all know Tkachuk likes to mix it up, so this short bout shouldn't surprise to many people.

While the Canadiens are off to a blazing start, a lot of credit should go to some of their depth players, Chariot included on bringing this element of his game each and every night.
