Video: Pierre-Luc Dubois Reveals Why He Wanted Out of Columbus
Pierre-Luc Dubois made it known to the Columbus Blue Jackets almost five months ago that he was not interested in a long-term future with the team and preferred to be traded out of town. While the Montreal Canadiens were reportedly his dream team to play for, Dubois headed north, but more west, as he landed with the Winnipeg Jets.
Dubois, who has been in the spotlight lately for his work ethic, or lack their of, was very excited to hear the news and is happy this is now over, and everyone can move on.
The 22-year-old joins a Jets team and is likely to have Kyle Connor and Paul Statsny on his wings, once he's out of quarantine and is eligible to play.
Dubois' reasoning for leaving has always been in question and wasn't something the Quebec native ever revealed. Until now, as Dubois met with Hockey Night in Canada legend Ron MacLean and had this to say about hitting the reset button on his hockey career.
