Video: Tyler Toffoli Put On A Show Against His Old Team

The Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens played one of the most exciting games of the season on Wednesday which ended 6-5 in a shootout, in favor of the Canucks. And while Montreal Canadiens forward Tyler Toffoli was amped up to play his old team, his nerves didn't get the best of him as he put on a show.

Toffoli scored three times for his first hat-trick of the year and now has four points in four games as a Hab. Toffoli spent part of last season with Vancouver after the Canucks acquired him from the Los Angeles Kings at the deadline. He had 10 points in 10 regular-season appearances for Vancouver, then signed a $4.2 million, four-year deal with Montreal as a free agent. Canucks fans were left wondering why the heck he was never brought back, and especially after some of the money general manager, Jim Benning was spending this offseason.

Toffoli spoke to the media after the game on what it felt like to play his 'old' team:

I'm not going to lie, I don't really care who scores the goals, I just want to win games...And that's why losing a game like tonight kind of [stinks] when we had the opportunities to win and hold on. Our line has been playing really well to start the season, just not getting the luck and the bounces and obviously tonight was one of those nights for us. Hopefully we can continue it and help the team win games here.
