Washington Capitals Add Goaltending Depth
The Washington Capitals have come to terms with veteran goaltender Craig Anderson on a one-year deal worth $700,000.
The #Caps have signed free agent goaltender Craig Anderson to a one-year contract for $700,000. He was placed on waivers moments ago, at noon on Wednesday. Should he clear waivers at noon on Thursday, he is expected to join the team's taxi squad.

While some aren't surprised the team went out and signed a veteran with Braden Holtby leaving for Vancouver, it is a bit of a surprise he's on the Capitals' taxi-squad. This also isn't a given either. As we saw yesterday, a number of goalies were claimed on waivers and Anderson certainly could be snagged up.
Look for the Edmonton Oilers, New Jersey Devils, and Colorado Avalanche to take a peek Anderson's way and we'll have to wait until Thursday at noon to find out.
