Winnipeg Jets Add Goaltending Depth
The Winnipeg Jets goaltending roundabout continues as the team has claimed Anton Forsberg off of waivers from the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes claimed Forsberg earlier this week from the Edmonton Oilers, and had to put him through waivers to move him to their taxi-squad.
No word yet if the Jets will keep Forsberg on their NHL roster or move him through waivers once more.

For Forsberg he's been sitting in Edmonton, waiting for his fate to be determined as it was expected he would be claimed at some point.
The Jets recently lost Eric Comrie to waivers to the New Jersey Devils who were looking to replace some depth with Corey Crawford retiring.
A note on goaltender Anton Forsberg: He's remained in Edmonton since being claimed on waivers by Carolina this week. Now that the #hurricanes passed Alex Nedeljkovic through waivers and assigned him to their taxi squad, they're taking calls on Forsberg.

As for Forsberg, last season he played three games with the Hurricanes and spent the majority of the season in the AHL. He's strictly a depth option at this point and the Jets could certainly use his help.
If they do move him through waivers later this weekend or early next week, expect the Oilers to keep a close eye on the wire.
