Lewis was in camp with the team on a professional tryout and now has some job security for this season. The 34-year-old brings a ton of versatility to the lineup as he can play all over the ice. He also brings lots of playoff experience including Stanley Cup championship experience which will go a long way in the room in Winnipeg.
Lewis spent over a decade playing for the Los Angeles Kings and was looking to catch on to a depth role with a contender, and if the Jets can stay healthy and maximize their roster, there's certainly a chance they can go deep in the playoffs.
Great move for the Jets as Lewis does a lot of the little things you need for a player to win games.

Trevor Lewis, signed to a PTO by WPG, is a defensive-minded fourth line forward. He's a solid forechecker. #GoJets pic.twitter.com/VZsnrI7ViE
