Boston Bruins Add Defensive Depth
The Boston Bruins have claimed left-handed defenseman Jarred Tinordi off waivers via the Nashville Predators. The 29-year-old appeared in seven games for the Preds and recorded no points and four penalty minutes.
It's been a grind for the former first-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens. Tinordi has never really found a home and has only appeared in 88 career NHL games. Considering he was drafted 11 years ago, a grind may be an understatement.
The Bruins' defense was recently hit by injuries with Jeremy Lauzon being shelved for at least a month. The team will now give Tinordi a look and considering the way he plays, maybe the Bruins will end up being a good fit. Tinordi played 46 career games for the Canadiens over four seasons so the Bruins may have seen something they liked.
