Brian Burke Admits Penguins In 'Win-Now' For This Season
The Pittsburgh Penguins have two new executives with President of Hockey Operations, Brian Burke and their new general manager in Ron Hextall.
Burke is currently doing his rounds with the media and stopped by The Chirp with Darren Millard, which happens to be one of the newest podcasts to the NHL.com network. While Millard was trying to get the most out of the entertaining Burke, one question that was asked surrounded the major changes that have been rumored to be considered in Pittsburgh.
Burke admitted this season is win-now and this upcoming summer, the team will be reviewed and they will proceed with what the executive team and ownership think is the best step forward for the franchise.
So yes, there's certainly a chance if the Penguins struggle this season that massive change will come including potential trades of Kris Letang, Evgeni Malkin and even Sidney Crosby.
Penguins fans need to realize every team goes through a transition period and it's only a matter of time before it's Pittsburgh's turn.
At The Chirp with Daren Millard, we ask the tough questions. Which usually get really good answers from guests like @Burkie2020 Listen or watch ep 4 now.

“I think they will go all in, in this little window here, this next two-three years, to try and solidify and get Sid over there in order to get their cup.”@BizNasty2point0 is convinced the Avs will go ALL IN on acquiring Sidney Crosby.
