Canucks Looking to Trade for Top-9 Forward
The Vancouver Canucks are off to a horrible start as the team currently sits 6th in the North Division, carrying a 8-14-2 record into Saturday night. While there's been plenty of rumors surrounding the job security of coaches and executives the latest news from Vancouver is they have called every team in the league in their pursuit to make a trade for a young top-9 forward.

The Canucks want a player who is under the age of 25 and can step into their lineup and produce. It sounds like the cost isn't really an issue and it's more so about making a move to try and upgrade their current roster.
The Canucks have both Tanner Pearson and Brandon Sutter who are headed for free-agency this off season and by all accounts it doesn't sound like either will be extended. Hence why the Canucks are looking to bring someone in, not only for this year, but for at least a few more years as they try and groom their young talented core.
Nothing appears imminent at this point, but that can change quickly. The trade deadline is April 12th, but with the quarantine protocols, expect any of the northern teams to make their additions long before April.
