Detroit Red Wings Make Surprising Roster Move
The Detroit Red Wings shocked the world on Sunday as the team handed the Florida Panthers their first regulation loss of the season, 4-1.
The Wings now move to 3-8-2 on the season as to be expected as the young roster is still developing and their roster talent is certainly in question. One of the Wings' best young players was surprisingly scratched as head coach Jeff Blashill sat forward Anthony Mantha on Saturday.
The 26-year-old Mantha has four goals and seven points in 12 games so far this season, which isn't a terrible start but it's his work ethic that the coach is questioning.
Jeff Blashill says Anthony Mantha was not an injury issue. Was sent a message by being made a healthy scratch.

We'll be keeping on eye on this as let's hope for Wings fans this coach and player beef doesn't go sideways for the franchise like we've seen in Winnipeg and Columbus so far this season.
