Detroit Redwings Dealt Huge Blow
The Detroit Red Wings have been just as bad as we all expected. Although they have been missing several players due to Covid-19 protocols, their roster isn't particularly impressive. They have now lost one of their best performing players to injury.
Detroit's Tyler Bertuzzi will miss the next 4-6 games after missing Sunday's action against the Florida Panthers. Bertuzzi left during the 3rd period of Saturday's game against the Panthers and did not return for the remainder of the period or overtime. He was questionable for Sunday's game in which he did not play.
Bertuzzi will be listed on the IR with an upper body injury. He was in obvious pain on the play, but the play looked rather unassuming. He's currently second in points on the Red Wings roster with 5 goals and 2 assists. He signed a 1 year $3.5 million contract in October and is hoping to have a big season and increase his next deal. He will be missing a short period of time and hopefully he can pick up right where he left off.
Coach Blashill anticipates both Fabbri and Erne to be in the lineup tomorrow in Tampa.
