Dzingel and Galchenyuk Could Be Traded Again Soon!

On Saturday afternoon the Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators completed a trade that included Alex Galchenyuk and Cedric Paquette being dealt for Ryan Dzingel. While Paquette appears to be 'safe' according to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, the reporter could see both Galchenyuk and Dzingel being dealt again before the April 12th trade deadline.

As for Paquette, he's coming off a Stanley Cup and has spent the past decade in Tampa Bay playing for a playoff team before being dealt to Ottawa. The move to Carolina was music to his ears and he's going to bring a new element of toughness and physicality to the 'Canes..

Galchenyuk is becoming the new age Mike Sillinger as he heads to his six team in three seasons. And with Saturday's report from Johnston, Galchenyuk's future appears in limbo. The Hurricanes have some European flavor so perhaps he fits in well and finds his groove. Pretty crazy that a 3rd overall draft pick has moved around this much.

As for Dzingel, his best years were in Ottawa and there's a ton of opportunity right now on a very bad team, so if he's able to go in there and score some goals, expect the Senators to also entertain a contract extension with the 28-year-old.
