Edmonton Oilers Make Surprising Lineup Change
The Edmonton Oilers are ready for another installment of the Battle of Alberta with the Calgary Flames on Friday and it appears they will be doing it without Kyle Turris in the lineup.
The coaching staff has announced Turris will be a healthy scratch on Friday and there's already rumblings about his future with the team. So far this season, his first in Edmonton, Turris has only registered one goal and three points in 18 games. This coming after signing a two-year deal worth $1.65 million per season.
For @TheAthleticCAN It's getting late early for Kyle Turris. https://t.co/a6rNmXnLf9

Before the season started, Turris was slated into the 3rd-line center role and was given every opportunity to take the job and run and it hasn't really worked out for the 31-year-old.
The Oilers got off to a brutal start this season and have clawed their way back to a 10-8-0 record, good for 3rd in the North division. As far as Turris goes, he better hope the Oilers don't get hot, because he could be on the outside looking in for the foreseeable future.
